Our Process

Pre-Production: (Before the shoot day)

We work with your team to come up with the story we want to tell and decide which type of video will work best for the goal we are trying to accomplish.

Once the video type is decided there are different directions we can go to tell the story such as an interview, voiceover, or even a person talking directly to the camera with the option of using a teleprompter.

Interview Option – We typically recommend coming up with between 6-10 open ended questions that will open up the conversation to the story we are trying to tell. Whether you hire us to write and ask the questions on production is completely up to you.

Voiceover Option – This is very similar to the person on-camera with the teleprompter except instead you don’t see this person on camera and only hear their voice.

Teleprompter Option – As mentioned before we still would need a written script for the teleprompter but there will be a person from your team or hired actor to actually be on-camera.

Production: (During the shoot day)

By this part of the process we will need to lock in the date(s) so we can lock everything into our production calendar.

The day of production we will be bringing all the gear necessary for the type of shoot the team decided to film. Depending on the video type we may require more or less or a setup time. For example setting up the teleprompter typically requires about an additional 15-20 minutes of setup time with the proper lighting.

Whether you hired us to do the interview or not for the person talking on camera we will help guide the video along to make sure you are getting the content you need.

For setup we will bring the camera(s), lighting, and audio for a high end production.

Post-Production: (After the shoot day)

If you hired our team to do the post work or not you will have access to the downsized raw footage.

Otherwise if you hired TruFocus for the editing work depending on the type of video there are different workflows that we have for each type of video. After production someone from our team will walk whoever is the team lead through the process, timeline, and items such as brand guides needed for the edit.
