Travel

Q: Do you travel out of state?

Yes. In this case additional charges will apply for travel fees. Aside from states that we have preferred partners. We have partners located currently is 20 different states across the US.

Q: Is there travel fees for the shoot?

Anything within 30 miles of Naperville, IL does not have a travel fee. Additional travels fees that apply will be parking or hotel fees. Hotel fees are usually charged anything over 100 miles from the shoot location. Anything over 30 miles has a flat rate of $150 per person plus $.60 per mile.

Q: Where have you filmed before?

We have filmed all over the U.S. in Colorado, California, Utah, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Tennessee, and more.

Q: How long does it take to get a response from an online inquiry?

We get back to all inquiries within 24 hours of receiving them.

Q: Do you have a studio that we can film at?

Yes. We have access to multiple studios across Illinois along with a studio/office in Naperville.

Q: Do you accept Credit Card or Check?

Yes. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express and Discover.

Q: Do you accept Checks?

Yes. For returning clients we accept check or ACH payments.

Sales

Q: Do you offer indoor and outdoor shoots? If my shoot is rained out do we get a refund?

Yes. We are prepared to film outside. The only time we will need to cancel to re-schedule a shoot is if there is rain. We do not offer refunds for shoots, but we can offer a credit to setup a new shoot date if cancelled within 48 hours or due to bad weather. Checkout our Terms of Service for more details.

Q: Do you have online pricing?

Yes. All our regular video service offerings can be found on our video pricing page.

Q: Do you offer photography services?

TruFocus has local photography partners that we have worked with over the past 5 years locally in Chicagoland.

Q: Do you offer graphic design services?

Yes. We often incorporate graphic design into our videos such as preset logo builds or lower third images.

Q: Do you offer raw footage on a hard drive?

Yes. We can mail you camera source files to any location within the US for a flat fee of $297.

Videography

Q: How many cameras do you bring to a shoot?

Unless requested prior to the shoot date for an any additional cameras the videographer will come with 1 camera.

Q: Do you have your own audio gear?

Yes. We have multiple wired and wireless microphones

Q: Do you shoot in UHD?

Yes. We shoot everything in 1080 HD and have the capability of also shooting in 4K if requested.

Q: Do you have insurance?

Yes. We have a 1 million dollar liability insurance policy.

Q: Do you have equipment to take audio feed from a DJ/Board?

Yes. We have every connection possible to take any feed we may need for the project.

Q: Do you offer drones?

Yes. TruFocus outsources any drone footage needed for a project. Our freelancers have the Part 107 and FAA 333 Exception certifications along with insurance.

Q: Can I add additional hours the day of a shoot?

Yes. If we do not have any other scheduled shoots after your shoot we can extend the shooting hours for an additional fee.

Q: Do you offer professional lighting?

Yes. We have a variety of LED and Fluorescent lights to choose from based on the needs of the project.

Q: What kind of cameras do you have?

We have a variety of different professional camcorders, cine cameras, and DSLR’s available for any kind of shoot possible.

Q: Do you offer color correction and grading services?

Yes. If you have a style you’re looking for we can match it using DaVinci Resolve. A color suite program that all the professionals use in our industry.

Q: How do I get pricing for video?

All our pricing can be found on our “video pricing page” for any video project needs.

Q: What is the maximum number of cameras you have to shoot a live event?

We currently have access to up to 4 cameras at one time using an Atem Mini switcher that takes in all the cameras signals at one time for live multi-camera editing.

Editing

Q: How long will it take my film to be complete?

Each project has different lengths and challenges that present itself. An estimate on completion of each project will be given at the time of finalizing the contract agreement. A typical rough edit completion time is around 5-7 business days.

Delivery

Q: How do I receive my edited video?

Your TruFocus video in downloadable in a private link through Vimeo or Google Drive. This link will be sent to you once your project is completed

Q: How do I receive my raw footage?

Your raw footage will be sent by email downloadable in a private link through Google Drive. This link will be sent to you within 72 hours of the shoot date if requested.

Q: Can I buy hard copies of the footage?

Yes. You can either purchase a USB or a hard drive for bigger file sizes.

Q: Can anyone else see my videos?

Yes. Your videos with be online to be public if you choose or we can share them privately so that only people with the video link will be able to see it.
